Smiling can make a huge difference in your daily life, so being comfortable with your smile will go a long way to doing it more often. At Super Smiles of Burlington, Massachusetts, Emilie Miller, DMD, and her team of highly trained dental professionals, will work tirelessly to ensure you’re not only comfortable, but happy with your smile. And if your smile could use a little, or a lot, of straightening out, Dr. Miller’s team has the perfect solution for you. Introducing, ClearCorrect, the traditional braces alternative.

What is ClearCorrect?

Instead of using unsightly traditional braces (which can get in the way of eating what you want and your oral health care regimen), to straighten your teeth, Dr. Miller uses the ClearCorrect system. ClearCorrect is a clear aligner system that’s removable and virtually invisible while you’re wearing it.

The ClearCorrect system uses a series of custom-made aligners which gradually align your teeth and straighten them out over time. The length of time required to straighten your teeth and how many steps of aligners you’ll need entirely depends on the condition of your current smile. However, treatment times are usually between one and two years.

How Does ClearCorrect Work?

ClearCorrect works much like traditional braces in that they slowly realign your teeth over time by putting pressure on them to force them out of their current position and into the desired one. Unlike traditional braces, however, ClearCorrect doesn’t require anything to be attached to your teeth for the duration of treatment.

Traditional braces can cause a great deal of discomfort and restrict what you’re able to eat. They can also get in the way of maintaining your proper oral hygiene since they make brushing and flossing incredibly difficult. The ClearCorrect system, however, is easily removable for mealtimes and brushing and flossing, making it a much simpler and easier to use alternative to traditional braces.

The process involves four phases of aligner therapy, with a new set of aligners for each. You’ll wear the aligners day and night except for eating and drinking and brushing and flossing. Because of the incredibly clear material the aligners are made of, almost no one will even notice you’re wearing it. What you and they will notice over time is your teeth straightening and becoming the smile you’ve been dreaming about.

After Dr. Miller has determined you’re eligible for ClearCorrect, she’ll make a 3D model of your teeth and have them sent off to the ClearCorrect laboratory where they’ll work with Dr. Miller to come up with your treatment plan to achieve your desired smile. Once your treatment plan has been developed, your custom aligners are designed and created by state-of-the-art computer modeling and precision. The treatment plan will be made available to look at from your home computer to view your progress and see where you are in the treatment process. You’ll receive your new aligners by mail when the time comes for a new one in each phase.

Can ClearCorrect Help You?

ClearCorrect is a great solution for almost everyone who could benefit from traditional braces but with all the added benefits of convenience and without any of the pain and discomfort that comes with traditional braces.

ClearCorrect is a great solution for those with crooked, or turned, teeth, crowded teeth, spaces between their teeth, and those with over or underbites.

ClearCorrect can even be used by children whose molars have yet to come in, and by seniors who may have a more complex dental history in most cases, but speak with Dr. Miller to know for sure.
